Initial motivation of the technology is the generation of a high quality refuse-derived fuel gas (CO - H2) out of nowadays land filled ASR (Automotive Shredder Residues) and other organic residues. The generated fuel gas can be used directly for industrial purposes in steel mills or cement kilns. Landfill become needless.
Methanisation via Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis is possible, because of the high quality of the generated gas, and because of the adjustablility of the CO - H2 ratio.
